“The highlight of my trip was staying in the village of Cangumbang and the relationships that I developed with the kids there. Also the amazing sense of belonging that Tacloban and its people gives to visitors. Hard to leave. I went to help people post typhoon/disaster relief and expected it to be an experience that would be harrowing at times and emotionally challenging in a heavy way but it was totally uplifting. Ended days on a complete high and couldn’t wait for the next day to begin.”
