- Human Rights Internship in Morocco
What is this Human Rights Internship in Morocco all about?
Morocco continues to face significant human rights’ problem, including limitations on civil and political freedoms. Although Morocco has made progress in areas such as women’s rights and the protection of migrant rights, challenges remain, and the Moroccan government continues to face pressure from both domestic and international organizations to align its policies more closely with international human rights standards. This internship offers students and graduates the opportunity to work for an NGO that is dedicated to protecting human rights in Morocco, by promoting and advocating for the respect, defense, and advancement of human rights. The NGO grounds its work in international agreements that uphold human rights standards. It advocates for these rights across political, civil, economic, social, and cultural domains.
The core goals of the organisation are:
- Disseminating information, through its publications, with the aim of educating people on human rights issues in Morocco.
- Encouraging Morocco’s ratification of all international human rights conventions and incorporating these principles into national legislation.
- Condemning human rights violations and offering support to victims.
The NGO welcomes international interns who are looking to make a valuable contribution to the work being carried out.
