EDUCATION

As an education intern with Kaya, you can support the objective of universal education access by inspiring and facilitating learning in settings such as pre-schools, schools, community centers, and beyond.

Education Internships

Join Kaya on an education internship and be a part of the effort to improve education access for all. Join local professionals inspiring and supporting learners through individual and group lessons in pre-schools, schools, community centers, and more. Whether you come from an education, social work, or psychology background, you can participate in one of our impactful community or school-based projects aimed at enhancing literacy and knowledge, and skills development for communities abroad.

YOUTH EDUCATION INTERN

If you are focused on youth education, as an intern you can work alongside local staff in providing supportive learning environments for youngsters in classrooms, daycare centers and after-school clubs. You may get involved in developing curriculum, planning and delivering classes and workshops, supporting teachers working in large classes, or providing additional learning opportunities not currently offered to these kids.

On an education placement, you can learn about the educational systems of different countries and the different approaches taken to childhood education at various ages, and bring new ideas to resource-limited environments.

ADULT EDUCATION INTERN

If you are interested in adult education, you can intern within a range of initiatives bringing opportunities to adults through literacy programs, skills development, health education, language learning, and more. In environments where marginalized groups are not always guaranteed an extensive education, these adult initiatives can provide the tools to help individuals expand their economic and social opportunities.

SPECIAL NEEDS EDUCATION INTERN

If you would like to focus on Special Needs education, an internship in this area enables you to work alongside local staff teaching and supporting learners but also sharing approaches and techniques from different schools of learning. Internships are available at schools for the deaf, centers for those with a range of physical and mental abilities, and in after-school support facilities. Programs include art and music programs, skills development, and in-classroom support.

It is often the case, in low-resource locations, that support for Individuals with special needs is limited and available only to those who can afford to pay for it. By interning within these initiatives, and providing additional assistance to those who need it most, your internship can have a great impact on those you work alongside and the students in your care as you expand your skills and build your resume.

SKILLS EDUCATION INTERN

Education programs expand outside the classroom into many skills development areas – from Environmental education to business skills workshops, teaching home gardening skills to providing health education. As an education intern, there are a wide range of programs available, where you can put your education skills to the test.

You can get involved in teaching, curriculum development, capacity building, classroom support, and skills sharing with local professionals. Through these internships, you can gain experience in different educational settings and learn about different approaches to teaching within communities.
